ANGOORI BHABHI CONTROVERSY: ACTRESS SHILPA SHINDE EXPOSES CINTAA

Shilpa Shinde of the Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai fame recently made some scathing remarks against Cine & Television Artistes Association (CINTAA).  The popular television actress has alleged that Cine & Television Artistes Association (CINTAA) does not work in the best interest of actors in the industry.
Shilpa played the role of Angoori Bhabhi in the famed show. She recently was embroiled in nasty controversy followed by an abrupt exit from the show. Further, she had accused the producers of mental harassment. On their part, CINTAA had issued the actress a letter asking her to bear the cost of financial loss incurred by the producers or channel.
She recently convened a press conference with a former CINTAA member, Asif Sheikh to reveal some documents and videos implicating CINTAA.  At the conference, she said, "CINTAA is an artist’s association, but it doesn't help us at all. We had told the committee that artists who do episodic shows should be given conveyance and per day money on time. But nothing like that happened. Artists need work and these people are exploiting that and the association is of no use."
Shilpa had earlier quit the show citing that the makers wanted exclusivity that would bar her from pursuing any other roles. On the other hand, the producers alleged Shilpa with unprofessional behavior and demand for pay hike and personal designer on the show. The other leading lady of the show, Saumya Tandon has her own designer on the show.  CINTAA had then intervened between her and producer of the show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. When contacted, they dismissed Shilpa's charges as "baseless".
