Bombay boy Arvind Swamy’s Bollywood comeback with “Dear Dad”

South Indian actor Arvind Swamy rose to limelight in Bollywood with Mani Ratnam directorial ventures, Roja and Bombay. After a prolonged hiatus, the handsome actor returns on the silver screen starring in the endearing father-son movie, Dear Dad. The film showcases the bittersweet relationship between a 45-year-old father Nitin Swaminathan and his 14-year-old son Shivam played by Himanshu Sharma. Arvind is said to have chosen this comeback film owing to the fascinating subject, the rarity of such stories.

The trailer showcases the adorable father-son duo embarks on a scenic road trip from Delhi to Mussoorie. The trip is riddled by confrontations, allegations and misunderstandings. The complex yet loving father –son relationship amidst this tailspin forms the crux of this movie.
