Bombay boy Arvind Swamy’s Bollywood comeback with “Dear Dad”
South Indian actor Arvind Swamy rose to limelight in
Bollywood with Mani Ratnam directorial ventures, Roja and Bombay. After a
prolonged hiatus, the handsome actor returns on the silver screen starring in
the endearing father-son movie, Dear Dad. The film showcases the bittersweet
relationship between a 45-year-old father Nitin Swaminathan and his 14-year-old
son Shivam played by Himanshu Sharma. Arvind is said to have chosen this comeback
film owing to the fascinating subject, the rarity of such stories.
The trailer showcases the adorable father-son duo embarks on
a scenic road trip from Delhi to Mussoorie. The trip is riddled by
confrontations, allegations and misunderstandings. The complex yet loving
father –son relationship amidst this tailspin forms the crux of this movie.
The film, also marks the directorial debut of Tanuj Bhramar,
is slated to release in theatres on May 6.
