1) She was a National Level sportswoman

Deepika has played badminton at the National Level, and she has also played baseball in a couple tournaments at the state-level. That explains her athletic body!

2) She did lots of commercials

Deepika has been a part of many memorable commercials and she has been the face of a wide array of products. You might remember her from this famous tooth-paste commercial.

3) She is an award winning model

Walking the ramp since 2005, Deepika earned a lot of respect in the modelling world.  She won the ‘Model of the Year’ at the Kingfisher Fashion Awards. Not to anybody’s surprise, she also posed for the famous Kingfisher calendar!

4) She did THIS with Upen Patel

This is from back in the day when she was still modelling. First Deepika and now Karishma Tanna? Damn, we never thought we’d envy Upen Patel! 

5) She also starred in a Himesh Reshammiya music video

6) She starred in a Kannada movie

Her modelling assignments got her noticed, and she soon landed up as the lead actress for the Kannada film, Aishwarya (2006). And very soon, she’ll be seen in XXX! Respect.

7) She dated Nihar Pandya

And talking of the things she did (No pun. Seriously.) before fame, there’s Nihar Pandya. The duo met in an acting school and their romance took off from there. They were allegedly living together when she broke-up with him. Well, the past’s passed. All the best with Ranveer!
