1. Neerja
There's a great deal of excitement and buzz over Neerja, which is releasing in Februrary. The movie is based on the true story of a brave air hostess, one of the captives who saved the lives of the passengers, when the Pan Am Flight 73 was hijacked on September 5th 1986. An exciting story aside, the trailer is already out and it is being speculated that this may be Sonam Kapoor's best performance yet. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to catch this one in the theatre.
2. Wazir
Wazir is a tale of two unlikely friends, a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster (Amitabh Bachchan) and a brave ATS officer (Farhan Akhtar). Brought together by grief and a strange twist of fate, the two men decide to help each other win the biggest games of their lives. But there's a mysterious, dangerous opponent lurking in the shadow, who is all set to checkmate them
3.Raees
Raees is set in the 1980s Gujarat, it shows the story of a cruel and clever bootlegger (Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is highly challenged and eventually thwarted by a tough cop Ghulam Patel (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). This movie would anyway be watched because it's a SRK movie. But it should also be watched because this is the first time two powerful actors like SRK and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are pitted against each other. Mazaa aayega!
4. Jai Gangaajal
Gangaajal was an action-packed film with a brilliant performance by Ajay Devgn. The sequel, Jai Gangaajal, promises to be even more exciting thanks to a stellar cast like Priyanka Chopra. PeeCee plays SP Abha Mathur who is appointed the first female SP of Bankipur district, Bihar. She then goes against the local MLA of Bankipur (Manav Kaul) and henchmen of Lakhisarai district. P.S: We are expecting many stunts in this movie by PC. Look out.
5. Airlift
This is another movie that we totally want to see. The trailer is out and it's one of those which gives you the good kind of goosebumps - the shiver of anticipation. Starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, based on a true story, Airlift is all about the Indians who get trapped in Kuwait after the Iraq invasion. Their only source of escape is the Indian government. And it's scheduled to release in January!
6. Fitoor
We don't have great expectations yet from Fitoor, which is oddly enough, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, Great Expectations. But we are hoping for a decent watch given that it's a romantic film set in Kashmir. The first posters are out and they look great. Only Dickensonian stories, even the romantic ones, are a tad grim and that may not be to everybody's taste. But anybody who likes lilting romances, be sure to catch this one.
7. Kapoor & Sons
We know that this is the story of two brothers coming from a dysfunctional family and it's a Dharma Productions baby. The film is about a family which goes on a vacation, over a weekend and one of the brothers, the younger one played by Siddharth finally reveals his sexuality. The plot alone is enough to put this movie on our radar. But we want to see it mainly for the uber-hot Fawaad Khan who plays one of the brothers alongside Siddharth Malhotra. Oh and yes, Alia Bhatt too has been roped in. Look out for this movie in March 2016.
8. Sultan
Sultan is action packed sports movie based on the life of a wrestler. Salman Khan will be seen playing the role of Haryana based wrestler. Actor has undergone intensive training for his upcoming flick and has new look has just made his fans go Ga-Ga over his looks. Cast also includes Randeep Hooda playing the role of Salman's coach. Rumors had their rounds in the media of Sylvester Stallone playing a cameo in the movie. We don't know what is true about the movie but surely it's one of the most anticipated movie for 2016 ( Can't Miss: All you want to know about Salman's movie Sultan )
9. Mohenjodaro
Period movies are always a good watch. There's always a star cast, an incredibly expensive set and fun vintage costumes. Mohenjodaro is no exception. Set in the time period of the Indus Valley civilization, this movie is a complete ode to a screenwriter's imagination, given that not much has been discovered of the civilization, even today. Besides, it stars Hrithik Roshan and Bollywood newcomer Pooja Hegde. The film is scheduled to release in August 2016.
10. Fan
This is the story of one man who is obsessed with a movie star (Shah Rukh Khan) who looks just like him. So he travels to Mumbai, to meet the actor. An unusual storyline apart, Shahrukh has done a great job of changing his voice and dialect while playing the character of the fan. Some decent work has gone into the movie, judging by the trailer. We certainly want to watch this one!
11. Dangal
Dangal (English: wrestling competition) is an upcoming Indian biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film is produced by Disney Studio India.
