Deepika or Katrina, who will bag the silver screen's MasterChef?

With the audience's desire of wanting to see fresh and newer content on the silver screens, it becomes a challenge for the movie- makers to constantly live upto their expectations. This time to give the audiences the feel of MasterChef, the hit cookery reality show with a filmy touch, Monali Sen Choudhary is all set to bring the concept of the reality show into the form of a full two-hour feature film.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the news that is doing the rounds is that probably Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif are being eyed upon to essay this role. It is also confirmed that two British actors who are big names in the West have been approached for an interesting, extended cameo. "We are in talks with Academy Award winner Colin Firth and Oscar-nominated actor for The Imitation Game, Benedict Cumberbatch, for this role which has a hint of romance,” said Producer Ram Mirchandani. “Both the actors know about Masterchef and have shown interest. So the leading lady who is our film's hero could share screen space with a Hollywood star.” There also chances of  adding one of the show's judges, either Heston Blumenthal or Gordon Ramsay to make an appearance along with that season's participants in a small portion before the climax. 

The film that even borrows its title of the TV show, Masterchef shall be revolving around the journey of a woman with alot of barriers before she is acknowledged as the best culinary expert in the world."It's a human interest story. The protagonist has a keen interest in and a talent for cooking. It becomes a cathartic experience for her, taking her to the top of her profession," informs Mirchandani.

The film is supposedly to role out around May-June and will be shot in 55 days in Mumbai. There also would be a picturesque hill station which could be either Coonoor or Darjeeling.
