Adorable:Bollywood Celebrity Baby Names You Won't Forget

Aaradhya Bachchan:
The birth of Aishwarya-Abhishek’s daughter took the web by storm. Not just Bollywood, the whole nation rose in celebration when 'Baby Bachchan’ was born. Right from her first look to her first polio drop vaccination, this star kid made headlines all over.
The granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan has been given a beautiful Sanskrit name - Aaradhya. The name means ‘to be worshipped’ or ‘someone who is worth worshipping’.

Azad Rao Khan:
Mr. Perfectionist aka Aamir Khan certainly puts on his thinking cap in whatever he does. Coming to his son, who was born via surrogacy, Aamir decided to name him ‘Azad Rao Khan’. Apparently he has been named after Aamir’s great granduncle Maulana Azad, who was a famous freedom fighter

Riaan Riteish Deshmukh:
Known to be one of Bollywood’s most adorable couples, Riteish-Genelia became parents on November 25, 2014.
The elated father took to twitter to announce his son's birth. On December 6, another tweet revealed their son’s name.
“Our Son ‘RIAAN RITEISH DESHMUKH," tweeted the yummy-mummy Genelia. Well, the name, Riaan means ‘little king’.

Viaan Raj Kundra:The gorgeous actress and her businessman husband, Raj Kundra, took to twitter to announce their son’s name. They named their son Viaan, which means ‘full of life and energy’.
"Hey tweetos, Yes its official, Did the naming ceremony today, our son is christened VIAAN RAJ KUNDRA:) it means Full of life/energy,” tweeted an ecstatic Shilpa.

Imara Malik Khan:
Another young couple in Bollywood, Imran and Avantika, welcomed their first child on June 9, 2014. They chose a beautiful name - ‘Imara’ for their daughter.
Imara is a Swahili name and means ‘strong and resolute’. Adding a tinge of more uniqueness to the name, the couple has added both their surnames to the baby's name, making it ‘Imara Malik Khan’

Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan:
The power couple of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri are proud parents of three children- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. Aryan means ‘warrior’ and Suhana means ‘charming’. However, the latest addition to the Khan family, AbRam certainly has the most unique name.
“His name is based on a variation of Prophet Abraham. And I liked the connotation that it is kind of a secular name (as it has ‘Ram’ in it),” quoted Shah Rukh Khan when asked about AbRam’s name


Akira Akhtar and Shakya Akhtar
Farhan Akhtar was last seen in ‘Dil Dhadkne Do’, is married to renowned hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. They have named their daughters - Akira and Shakya
Akira is a Japanese name that means ‘bright and intelligent’; this is also the name of Farhan’s favourite director, Akira Kurosawa. Shakya means a ‘circle of energy’.

Mahika Rampal and Myra Rampal:
The ‘Roy’ actor Arjun Rampal and his supermodel wife Mehr Jessia are blessed with two daughters. Their names are Mahika and Myra.
Their names are inspired by Sanskrit and the Quran. Mahika in Sanskrit means ‘earth’; and Myra, which is taken from the Quran, means ‘swift and light’.

Samaira Kapur and Kian Kapur:
Karisma Kapur married Delhi-based businessman Sunjay Kapur on 29 September 2003. The couple were blessed with a daughter in 2005 and a son in 2010. They named their kids with words having Latin origin.
Their daughter Samaira means ‘Goddess of Beauty’ that also means ‘enchanting’ in Arabic. Their son Kian means ‘grace of God’. Unfortunately Karisma and Sanjay got divorced in 2014.

Raayan Nene and Arin Nene:
Madhuri Dixit, the dhak dhak girl of Bollywood, has two sons - Raayan Nene and Arin Nene.
Raayan in Arabic means ‘gates of paradise/heaven’. Arin means 'mountain of strength'.

Renee and Alisah:
Sushmita Sen fought a long battle to get the adoption rights in order to bring her first child Renee ‘officially’ into her life. And, later on she adopted another girl child, Alisah.
Sushmita Sen who is a single mother chose two beautiful names for her daughters. Renee means ‘to be reborn’ and Alisah is a German name which means ‘noble’.


Haroon Shorey
Inspired by Salman Rushdie’s book Haroun and the Sea of Stories, Konkona and Ranvir named their son based on the same. Haroon, means ‘hope’ in Sanskrit and ‘protector or chief’ in Arabic. Apparently. Ranvir and Konkana are no longer together and are living separately
