Rumour Has It: Madhuri Dixit to star in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2?

After the immense success of Baahubali, all the focus has now shifted on Baahubali 2. SS Rajamouli has already started shooting for the second installment of the Baahubali franchise at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. 

We had reported earlier that Karan Johar is much more involved in the production of Baahubali: The Conclusion and is spending helluva money to make the film flawless. We also heard rumours about cameos from southern stars like Suriya and Shriya Saran in second part. And now a little birdie tells us that Madhuri Dixit has just been signed to play an important role in Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2.

If the rumours are to be believed, then Madhuri would be playing the role of Anushka Shetty’s elder sister in Baahubali 2. If this turns out to be true, then indeed Madhuri Dixit will become the first Bollywood actress to be associated with this South Indian blockbuster series. A source close to the film says, “Madhuri’s role is not long but very significant.”

We will have to wait and watch what the evergreen diva of Bollywood has to say about these Baahubali 2 rumours. Meanwhile, we hope that Baahubali: The Conclusion turns out to be bigger and better than its predecessor with loads of starry cameos.
