Mohabbatein Turns 15: Here’s what you didn’t know about the film- No.7 is Shocking

Just a few days back, Bollywood celebrated 20 years of the cult film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Today again, it’s the 15th Anniversary of Mohabbatein. This is why we call Shah Rukh Khan the king of romance. He assimilates a simple story, acts his heart out and turns ordinary into extraordinary. We are sure the birthday-film Mohabbatein is in your favorite list too. Here are a few facts that you probably wouldn't be knowing:

1. Imagine the producer-director as a designer too? Yes, Karan Johar designed costumes for Amitabh Bachchan in the film.

2. Before the shoot of Aankhein Khuli Ho Ya Ho Bandh”, Jugal Hansraj ended up breaking his ankle. This happened when he had to carry Sharma, leaping over the dancers.

3. Kajol and Karishma were oferred respectively the characters of Sanjana & Ishika. But they both rejected playing them

4. At the time of Mohabattein, Aishwarya was no famous star. Thus, when the trailer released, the makers decided to show only her back and no face was shown. They assumed a little known heroine would turn the viewers off. Lot of people that tine had mistaken her to be Madhuri Dixit or Kajol i.e. the heroines Shah Rukh had already romanced on screen.

5. Aditya Chopra had written a role opposite Amitabh Bachchan too. Sridevy was approached for that, but she turned down.

6. Can you imagine? Shah Rukh Khan agreed to act in the film without even reading the script. Well after all he is King Khan and Kings rarely go wrong!

7. Amitabh Bachchan was idle ans was receiving no breaks. He requested Yash Chopra for some work and was made a part of the film.
