Shocking – These Bollywood Celebrities have been accused of tax evasion

Bollywood celebrities are known to earn undisclosed amount from their movies and their stage shows. There are many who honestly pay their taxes but many celebrities are caught in the income tax raids for tax evasions. Here we bring to you list of Bollywood Celebrities who have been accused of tax evasion :

1.SALMAN KHAN: In 2000 income tax department raided Salman Khan’s flat at Bandra and farm house at Panvel. In 2006, Salman was accused of tax evasion charges.

2. SANJAY DUTT: IT officers raided Sanjay Dutt’s Bandra residence. It was his collection of custom made wristwatches, which cost in crores to drew the attention of the officers.

3. RANI MUKERJI :In 2000, Rani Mukerji’s house was raided by income-tax department and according to sources they recoverd around Rs.12 lakh cash from actress residence.

4. PRIYANKA CHOPRA: In 2011, the investigation team of the income-tax department raided Priyanka Chopra’s residence in Versova, Andheri West. Sources says that according to income tax officials Priyanka did not disclose income worth six crores to save on her taxes. But later the actress had denied allegations of concealing income.

5. MADHURI DIXIT: When IT officers raided Madhuri Dixit’s residence they broke the walls of her house to discover money stashed in them. They even ripped apart sofas and furniture. But according to sources she had given the money to her manager to hide.

6. KATRINA KAIF: Along with Priyanka Chopra the investigation team of the income-tax department raided Katrina Kaif’s residence too, on the same day. Income tax department suspected that the actress had concealed her actual income. Katrina Kaif denied of having any black money in her apartment.

7. EKTA KAPOOR: Producer Ekta Kapoor and actors Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor’s homes and Balaji Telefilms’ offices were raided by nearly 100 IT officers in 2013. Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms was later found guilty of tax evasion of upto 30 crores.They agreed to pay the tax and penalty.
