Salman Khan appointed as Goodwill Ambassador of Rio Olympics
It’s the first time that a Bollywood actor has been chosen to play an important role in the Rio Olympics.
Yes, according to a tweet by a popular news site, the Dabangg actor has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of Rio Olympics.
The Olympics, to be held in Brazil, will take place between August 5 and August 21. More than seven thousand athletes are expected to take part in this.
Even though Salman Khan hasn’t issued an official statement, the popular news site said “Prominent Bollywood actor Salman Khan to be the Goodwill Ambassador for Indian contingent at #RioOlympics2016"
The actor is currently busy with Sultan. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced under Yash Raj Films, the movie stars Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda as Sultan's coach and Amit Sadh as Sultan's brother.
It was said to be releasing on July 6, 2016, clashing with arch rival Shah Rukh Khan’s Raes. But SRK’s crime saga is apparently releasing on Diwali.
